Dr. Anahita Forati DAOM, L.Ac.

Dr. Anahita Forati specializes in Integrative Oncology and Pain Management. The primary focus of her ongoing research as well as her clinical work is combining Traditional Chinese Medicine with western cancer treatments.

Dr. Forati feels strongly that traditional Chinese medicine with the knowledge and experience of thousands of years of clinical experience it contains must be preserved, taught, and utilized in the modern day.

Education and Training

  • Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM), Bastyr University; emphasis on Integrative Oncology and Pain Management
  • Master of Sciences in Chinese Medicine, American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM)
  • Bachelor of Sciences in Botany, Pre-Med, U.C. Davis
  • Certifications in Tui Na acupressure massage and Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation, ACTCM
  • Clinical training in Integrative Oncology, Teaching Hospital of Sichuan Chinese Medicine Institute, in Chengdu, and Shu Guang Hospital, in Shanghai, China.

Dr. Forati is a licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California and Washington. She is also a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and a member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) and SIO (Society of Integrative Oncology).

Over the course of her life, Dr. Forati has lived on three different continents and in many different cultures. A naturally intuitive, artistic, and musical person, she has acted in plays, produced and directed films and videos, and performed live music at festivals and events. She believes healthy self-expression is a fundamental aspect of healthy living.
